MEXICO CITY June 30 A 6.5-magnitude earthquake struck southern Mexico early on Wednesday, shaking buildings in Mexico City, the U.S. Geological Survey and Reuters witnesses reported.The quake’s epicenter was 8 miles (14 km) east of Oaxaca, Mexico, the USGS said. WASHINGTON, An earthquake measuring 5.6 on the Richter scale shook western Guatemala, Sunday (18/4/2010), the USGS said.According to the U.S. agency’s earthquake, the quake occurred at 07:30 and centered at the location 23 miles east of Suchiate in the state of Chiapas Mexico and 35 miles west of Guatemala Retalhuleu.There are currently no reports of damage or casualties caused by the earthquake.
